For the most part, you're not liable as long as you're properly incorporated and don't sign anything making you personally liable, unless you committed various crimes such as fraud along the way. Corporate bank loans for early stage compani

Dopamine agonists (heroin, cocaine, Farmville, et al.) are the kinds of drugs that people get addicted to. They are not the kinds of things you would want to get addicted to. Heroin and cocaine have other actions beyond dopamine, but Farm

You got it! Except it's a bit confounded because a few of the schedule 1 drugs really, truly aren't medically usable because they are trumped by substances proven to be less harmful.

I'd bet that the net consequence of every single person in society dosing acid once, like the Merry Pranksters dreamed of, would have been more along the lines of a slight decrease in net societal productivity than a total counter-cultural

Agreed with parent that this is basically a Puritan attitude. This idea that one creates self-worth via work is not anything like a cultural absolute. One of my favorite things about Balinese culture is that they don't have the idea that po

Right now we're testing drafts of interactive units of curriculum, so it's not really a talk format that we can record and upload. Hopefully at some point we'll get to a format more digestible online but for now we're testing locally.

I pay $4700/month for an architecturally magnificent 5BR 2200 square foot house on the block east of the Berkeley Bowl. I suppose it's not cheap on an absolute scale, but a comparable house in SF would be $8000/month at the very minimum and

There was a certain lull point in Reddit, where it was still great for what it was, but it had lost the intellectual early adopter set but had not yet become the cultural juggernaut that it is now. Maybe it was right before the Digg exodus?

High dose stimulants in rats are neurotoxic. http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/neuro/20091104/msgs/931964.html Your mileage may vary, but I think prescribing patients >50mg amphetamine is often irresponsible. Ask your psychiatrist at what

That's a high dosage, to the level where I expect it is neurotoxic. I think you might be more of the exception than the rule... some withdrawal is to be expected, though not necessarily as strong as OP.

The evidence is much more strongly in favor of amphetamine being actually poisonous (neurotoxic) than ritalin. Even then, it only happens at higher higher than a certain, not really well known dosage. You might like playing around with Neur
