I wouldn't say so. Although the reply is only directed to the author or your friends, it's still public and can go viral and influence a lot of people. Thinking about it in a different way. In real life, you mostly just eavesdrop

Valid feedback. Agree that it's unlikely for your Facebook connections to stumble upon the same blog post. The chances could well improve though for your closest friends (and maybe co-workers) as there's a better chance of viewing
