I wish we could replace them. I don't see it yet. I doubt it will be possible in the next 20 years. The diesel scandal is the following: people like to drive big cars like SUVs. A car in the 90s weighed maybe 500kg. Now a new SUV weigh

I use acme.sh in production on several servers. When I decided to use it, I was looking for something I could read and understand in less than a day. The one file approach helped this. Lots of code bases are designed for easy change, which

I understand you and I have to say that there are more than only a few things politicians like to say that are absolutely not possible if you can calculate and know how to look up things in Google. The whole German "Energiewende"

As far as I know, no German city has ban any cars yet at a larger scale. Some have done so for their inner city. This court ruling just allows German cities to ban diesel cars, so whatever a city decides to do, is possible as long as it isn

There are even stools marketed for squatted position on western style toilets. One is the "Squatty Potty". As a German Kraut, I feel, the name must appeal to a Brit.

Yeah, deep learning needs a design pattern catalog like the Gang of Four book [1] and all which came after. And while we're on it, is there something similar to analog or digital designs? [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wi

I wonder what will happen when lasers as drone defense system becomes a reality. I guess terrorists will use them against US drones, and military and commercial aircrafts.
