Germany does the same. I’m under the impression that there is a big selection bias because I know a lot of friends who have symptoms but can’t get testing because they don’t fit the criteria. And the criteria is having contact with a known

You can also set up custom short codes for search engines in Chrome. I use gh for GitHub and w for Wikipedia for example. Just type gh space react and use the keyboard navigation on github to navigate further. A lot of keyboard enabled site

The videos I see on Reddit about stores allowing a maximum quantity of toilet paper show that it’s possible to stop customers of buying all the things. And in case someone claims an emergency, it’s not hard to verify such a claim.

Reading about it, I realized I've built stuff like this for a long time. I built websites with Hugo and other static HTML generators before that, adding React components to make some pages dynamic and calling into an API for some of th

Please excuse my ignorance, what is JAMstack? I couldn't find an explanation on the landing page or the README.md.

I had the same issue, I reloaded the site and it worked. I guess this is a race condition in JavaScript and it works when it's cached in the browser cache.

I‘m not sure if I need an animation for clearing the terminal, but I enjoy having the ruby gem gti providing an animation and executing the respective command whenever I mistype git.

Just tell this to the people in Fukushima and Tschernobyl. Also you worded it like you don’t need mining to produce nuclear energy, it’s not complicated to handle and reactors don’t fall apart over time.

Why do we name vulnerabilities in software? It’s much easier to talk about it that way.

I think there is a bias were you learn about digital mistakes effecting many people and human errors that effect only certain transactions. A lot of people will not complain when they get back more than their change.

I tried it and I think you're not right. The reason why this works most of the time (at least on reddit) because there are lot's of threads which put the date in the title. Query was: what phone should i buy nov 2019 site:reddit.c

No, I didn't use quotes (exact match) in my query. This was only to express delimiters. Sorry for the confusion.

I think a main issue is the vagueness of the query. I was searching for "what phone should i buy in 2020 site:reddit.com" and while a few results where from a year ago, most where from January 2020.

I think it doesn’t work like you said. The GP has a printer, but one where he doesn’t need much maintenance. It just works. No need to have a 4 color printer that doesn’t print black and white when yellow is run out. No need to buy a new ca

I don’t maintain much software with downstream users, but I would expect feature flags like this to make the job also easier for maintainers. It’s a little bit more code, but since you don’t break anything for your users you can take your t

Instead of doing grep 'plover' blah.log | cut -d ' ' -f 11 I usually do awk '/plover/{print $11}' blah.log Less typing, but probably not as easy to understand.

After you found them. And you find them after you become aware of problems. And how hard it is to clean up the data at this point in time depends entirely on the kind of system you're working with.

I think it might be really useful to run BugJail as an (optional) CI step and offer the user to download, integrate with the IDE, or have historical data. But I didn't fully understand the license regarding such usecases.

I agree, this might be possible but I wonder how good the quality is then? A splitter will give you 50% light. That limits the length of the cable too, doesn’t it? How many errors will be there when you bend the cable and get maybe 15% lig

Really, I wouldn’t teach junior developers that it’s ok to use a database table when a queue is needed. Sure, you can get away with this and there are cases when it’s all you need. But I’ve been one of those juniors who forgot to limit the
