Thanks for adding that acronym to my vocabulary. I use this strategy for a long time but needed more words to explain it.

My favorite feature is the help menu, where you can search the menu for a command. I'm not aware of any other OS doing this so consistently.

I find it really disturbing that you can't link to result pages. I think this is some kind of REST principles violation.

Hasso Plattner, one of the founders of SAP founded the Hasso Plattner Institut in Potsdam, Germany in 1998. It’s not a full fledged university, but a part of the university of Potsdam. A lot of the alumni work for SAP.

I agree, but this doesn’t has anything to do with the keyboard layout, except that if you need to switch layouts regularly, touch-typing doesn’t get easier. The thread is about the accessibility of some brackets on German QWERTZ keyboard la

I may be naive, but do people with slow DB tests put the DB in a tmpfs to improve performance?

Sorry, but no. There are clear rules what is allowed and what not and this didn't change much over time. This is not about hate speech or similar, this is about owning stolen weapons, ammunition, and Nazi items. Not sure about US laws,

I don't like this at all. None of the .json files is valid JSON and the .wimpy files are similar to YAML/JSON but not quite. A custom format like this doesn't help tooling, it hinders it.

I think it is a must to play the monkey island adventures then! If you want to compare this to a movie or show, Pirates of the Caribbean would probably be mentioned, but monkey island was first. I grew up with this kind of games and the Luc

On Mac, pruning images, containers and volumes also helps with battery life, because the default sync process for the VM draws a lot of power.

I guess - and I might be very wrong here - that the reason for client / server architecture was to be able to schedule docker containers on several hosts without the need to ssh into them. And I guess something like docker-in-docker or

I like https://github.com/akavel/up as this works on the command line and helps building fast pipes not only with jq, but also with every other text wrangling tool. But I wish it would be a little bit more polished.

Why would you write a terrible editor in C and what would you use to type that in? Isn’t cat - > file.txt or echo enough? AFAIK bash is able to set up tcp connections. Can’t you just download a static compiled editor through this? Maybe
