We have two or three systems that already work more like this, for the elderly, the poor, and the military. To me it seems the easiest way would be to gradually improve and expand one or all three. This can be done with minimal fear from th

There is no contradiction here. Tobacco is legal and nobody is trying to make it illegal. Tobacco has very clear and present health risks which were lied about for decades and nobody is arguing we should lie about the health risks of other

What options are these? I wouldn't ask but I've been googling for a few weeks to no avail. I keep finding options to set up IPTV from a broadcast source but not from files.

HackerNews seems like the place to ask this: There is something magical about switching to a channel mid-stream. The old joke about how you'll watch a movie from the half-way mark with commercials on TV even though the DVD is on the sh

It's funny to me that you have such an incredibly thoughtful series of prompts and responses to yield optimal results as if you are truly leveraging AI and I am just yelling at it like it's a junior dev on a Slack that I don'

They may be referring to React 18 + Strict Mode meaning all useEffects can be called as many times as React wants. People before were writing code where useEffect on [] worked like onMount and was only called once.
