You can remove Kindle DRM with Calibre? News to me. (Also, it still doesn't address the principle of the matter: digital music has gone DRM-free, it's time for eBooks to do the same.)

I think most people searching for "buy domain name" (and not something more specific like "where to buy domain name" or "domain registrars") are probably looking for introductory info on how to go about purchasing their first domain. In tha

Does anyone know if the numbering is only for Kindle-purchased books or also extends to .mobi or other DRM-free formats the Kindle supports?

Weird, I find VLC to perform much better on my 2009 MBP than MPlayer. I tried switching and gave up after 15 minutes of constant stuttering in MPlayer OSX Extended.

Love ShiftIt. Nice, simple, and if you disable the menubar icon, completely out of the way. (Use it at least 10x a day just for putting any two windows side-by-side. Seriously, changed my Mac OS X life).

Kindle sales surely would've increased with or without the existence of an iPad, but I'm inclined to believe they absolutely increased faster with. Personally, I sold my Kindle after a few months because I wasn't getting enough utility out

I'm not saying I disagree, but I don't think it's a fair argument to compare a non-essential "luxury" item (books) to food, a necessity (especially when the former costs $10+ and the latter is roughly $1 each).

Are you using Snow Leopard? That option was added in 10.6. Go to Finder>Preferences>Advanced and you'll find it at the bottom of the window.

Yes, but you can't get a refund once you've purchased it, a la Android Market.

If you enable the option to always temporarily whitelist the domain you are currently on, it gets a lot better. That way, when you are on example.com, it will still load any scripts hosted on example.com, but not Facebook/Twitter/ad/other w

Great job of communicating what the service is in an easy enough fashion that my mother would understand. Fortunately, I don't have a use for the service right now, but I will definitely keep it in mind for the future.

Noteworthy: Apple "analyst" Gene Munster predicted 4.3 million iPads sold in 2010. ( http://read.bi/cYCppW ) Actual results: 7.33 million just last quarter.

Officially giving up. Level 21 seems to be buggy - I've shared the folder multiple times with dropquest@dropbox.com and nothing shows up.

Definitely didn't include the #. Simply created a folder named 1F75CC, shared it with dropquest@dropbox.com and...nothing. Can't imagine what I'm still doing wrong, so I'm chalking it up to a bug on their end now.
