You can do it using the nginx-lua module, something like: `local response = ngx.location.capture("/some/api/endpoint" )` I would not recommend doing this, though. Nginx internals are rather complicated in my experie

In my experience there are a couple of reasons that lead to bad names in programs: - it takes effort to think of a good name. And more of the linguistically creative type instead of the logical reasoning type which makes up most of the rest

I don't think there is any harm done in putting it in there. All GitHub urls follow a standard schema, so if you wanted to you could anyway guess it. The point of the code snippet was simply to highlight how nice the Haskell build tool

It's not hard to hire people part time. But that is also not the point that this article is making. The problem is that a whole generation of people in Europe is currently facing unemployment/underemployment and temporary job cont

For a comprehensive book on the theory behind operating systems I can recommend "Modern Operating Systems" by Andrew S. Tanenbaum. It does not focus on the concrete implementation of an OS though.

As a comprehensive textbook on operating systems I would recommend reading "Modern Operating Systems" by Andrew S. Tanenbaum. Yes, it's almost a 1000 pages, but it's written very accessibly and understandably.

This is indeed an issue in practice: I recently wanted to use the "systemd-journal-gatewayd" component in Ubuntu 16.04, which ships with systemd v229. Yet, the feature I needed was only available in v231. Although I'm only in

Trello has apparently about 19 million users. And I would bet that the majority of them are not the typical target audience of Atlassian products (i.e. software development teams). So I wonder if they are mostly aquiring the user base here

Good point. Of course you have to specify the type of the values that you want to test in the test itself then, so you have to specify some types one way or the other.

Sure, not all type systems are created equal. And there are indeed type systems that can catch more errors than Haskell's (although that usually comes at the price of losing type inference). But I read OP's point as "Well, yo
