Thanks for pointing this out. I would indeed be looking for a replacement for SQLAlchemy Core, since I usually avoid ORMs. Esqueleto looks like it would fit the bill, since it does offer composability of queries, automated migrations, and p

I like the idea behind it, but it does indeed seem a little unfinished. Esp. the metric for top packages (most dependencies from other packages in this category) seems flawed, since some other apparently popular libraries mentioned in this

Is there something like a "standard" HTTP client library and also a SQL abstraction library in Haskell nowadays, that everyone is using? Similar to what 'requests' and 'SQLAlchemy' are in Python? I feel those w

This looks like a good solution for scrapers where "close enough" is good enough. If you need 100% accuracy you can always fall back to using scrapy directly and make your scraping logic as accurate as you need. But in many cases

TLDR: Use a VPN + Incognito mode + fake email and info The VPN hides your IP. Incognito mode prevents your cookies from giving away your identity. And the fake info helps with things like sites being hacked and the data being dumped online.

AFAIK GPUs only excel at data-parallel tasks (i.e. doing the exact same operation to thousands of data points in parallel, like in a matrix multiplication e.g.). So I wonder how they utilize this for ad hoc SQL queries? Anybody have any poi

Are there any limitations you have run into? E.g. can you still use all index types that Postgres offers or are there any special distributed index types that CitusDB adds perhaps?

This is a very interesting use case of the new static pointer feature in GHC: They first generate JVM bytecode from the Haskell source using their own code generator. This code is then shipped to the Spark cluster which executes the bytecod
