This is awesome. When I was in India ten years ago, everywhere we went in rural India the trees along creeks, rivers and streams were littered with plastic bags from where floods had deposited them. They were like leaves, and the trees were

Well now that Fry's and In-N-Out are there... maybe I'll move. Seriously though, the state of contract law regarding this stuff in most states is purely predatory for large companies and hurts innovation.

Yup, but if you don't you need to understand how bad your state is fucking you by seeing how good we have it in California.

You ALL need to read California Labor Code 2870! Surprised nobody has mentioned the most essential thing to know about regarding this stuff in California. The site is down at the moment, but the link is: http://www.leginfo.ca.gov

Soylent is a bad idea. Your body needs unidentified parts of plants that make you live a decade or more longer if you eat them every day, called phytonutrients. You're just killing yourself by eating shit, may as well eat fast food it

Curious for people's feedback. This is a prototype and isn't really useful yet. It is up to the point where a lot of exposure to sales operations/demand generation/sales strategy people will result in something fruitful.

Docker Swarm is definitely not production ready. Try to run any service that requires communication among nodes and you will agree. It works fine for web servers, but that is about it. DC/OS is emerging as the go-to way to deploy docke

PigPen had this right... it visualized syntax that you typed. You could technically code with the mouse but that wasn't the intention of the tool. It made it easier to get a gestalt view of things, without hiding the essential details

I started using Cloud9 a few weeks ago, and my productivity running an interactive visualization app has gone way up. Cloud9 has the best autocomplete ever, and it 'just works' after you do a little environment setup in your inclu

Running DCOS (data center operating system) on AWS is a snap, and solves all these problems. It makes running docker images a no-brainer compared to all other solutions, and this includes docker images that interact with one another (not ju

Stop using the Windows console. Or fix it. More rational than a breaking upgrade to Python 3.

What an idiotic idea. Python 3 needlessly broke things for features that did not really improve the language. Python 3 is a dead end. The 'slated' end of 2.7 won't happen, just the project leadership will change.

There are things you can do to scale well, that you tend to have to learn from longstanding error, that don't take a lot of time up front. You don't spend much time on them, and these efforts bear fruit later. Then there are thing
