It doesn't have to be jail time for the people involved, it could just be fines, salary cuts, demotions etc. Only the very worst offenders should go to jail.

The phrase "The authors suggest developing an ‘automatic mechanism’ triggered once an invasion was confirmed to make the threat more credible." just makes me thing of Dr Strangelove.

This article contains the phrase "an ingenious spreadsheet system devised by my colleague", which sent shivers down my spine as someone who has worked with databases. It says it's used to create MARC records, which are then c

Our Confluence is working fine and as far as I know has been working fine all week - no one has mentioned it in slack or anything, which I would expect. I think Atlassian are probably not helping themselves by calling the number of customer

Why not hold off the announcement until actual launch day? Big bang, lots of publicity, lots of sales. I've got a Pixel 3a XL with a cracked screen. I'm coping with it cracked, but if I'd seen this announcement and was able t

I think browsers messed up the implementation of number by adding increments and spin box things. I wish they would just show a numeric keypad on mobiles, and on desktop restrict input to 0-9, optionally 1 decimal point and an optional

I'd try marketing it to the Gate's foundation or the Wellcome Trust for grant support, rather than selling it for profit. Also look at other countries health systems. The UK's NHS has a department called "NHS Digital&quo

There is one advantage of no customer support for you as a customer that I haven't seen mentioned. If there is no customer support, there is no one for a fraudster to call and socially engineer, and less people with access to the datab

I don't think that's the problem. Browsers can do screenshotting correctly. MS Teams' Electron app can't. You can use the web version of teams in a browser to get around this issue.

I think there are 2 valid reasons: 1. Sometimes for legal or practical reasons other than language, the site needs to be different in different places, e.g. terms and conditions, cookie popups, prices legally required to include tax etc. Th
