I guess that's because you were specifically aiming for success (app usage / income) rather than for the primary reasons of enjoyment or learning? Would you recommend that people don't take up a year+ long project unless they

Why would you assume that, Google employees frequently comment here that youtube has never turned a profit. There are other costs such as music licensing, moderation and paying content creators.

That's kind of Google's intention. You are costing them money.

Obligatory comment that countries exist where the "pharmacy bill" is either $0 or sufficiently low that it will never cause stress. For people living in those countries, health costs are no longer an incentive to earn a lot. In th

Stop buying new laptops then?

Definitely true. But unlike SSDs (ten years ago you'd get like 256GB, now it's more like 2TB) the ram curve is a lot more flat and it's fairly cheap to buy 32GB+ ram and imo that will future proof you for quite a while.

For $30/month I could buy a GPU all for myself, they can serve a huge number of users from one GPU, how can it be that expensive?

Why do people care about soldered ram? It's so cheap, just get 64GB when you buy it if that is what you want.

I did the same thing and although it seems like a trackpoint is essential, trackpads are really good now and there isn't a huge difference imo.

They held my laptop in repair for almost three weeks to get a replacement keyboard, then tried to charge me over £1000 GBP (near the cost of the laptop) to replace the mainboard citing "water damage". The laptop was fine except fo

There is some subjectivity but the Framework is plastic+aluminium, glossy and has flex especially in the lid, and photos online show it warping when dropped. The T14s is made of magnesium. It is completely solid, even the keyboard does not

imo the T14 AMD (or the T14s if you need usb4 and a slightly nicer looking chassis) are the best value in the thinkpad range.

Both Gen 1 and Gen 3 AMD have been extremely stable with good battery life. The Gen 4 is new so it might take a few months for the kernel team to work out all of the bugs. The X1 Gen 11 is a very premium machine but compared to the T series

I want one but it's not quite there yet for me, still 50% more expensive than a thinkpad (let alone a refurb one, which is arguably better for the environment than buying a framework) and it falls behind on keyboard, trackpad, chassis

Well they did screw Japanese but gave Hong Kong/Taiwan the full set of traditional characters. Though that seems politically motivated. I wonder why they couldn't have done a composition system like Hangeul?

Sure, I was wondering if there were any other issues. On my phone I just added Japanese as a language and it now prefers those. Windows seems to support it fine too, as does Chrome on Linux. I guess there are problems if you try to use two
