This kind of edge cases will happen much more frequently when you have multiple smaller systems. A larger system helps you by balancing out those. Will a larger system run out of resources if everyone requests it at the same time? Of course

This is the beauty of aggregation: when you add a lot more different types of users to the system, the load tends to be balanced out because not everybody needs the same resource at exactly the same time. As long as the distribution of diff

If type annotations are fully respected that programmers code it like a statically-typed language (no type change for a variable in scope), will it be possible to AOT compile it?

Come on… though I don't use Firefox that much other than testing compatibility ever since Chrome was stable enough for daily use, but FF4 is significantly faster than 3. Your page loads in <1sec in both Chrome and FF4 on my machine.

"Startup time is still the #1 performance metric we optimize for." Isn't it a bit wrong direction now that people keep the browser open all day long (compared to years ago that they close and open it frequently)? Don't get me wrong, though.

"Its ability to change what any object is, on the fly" No, it doesn't. It changes the reference. If things are referred in the right way, it is possible to statistically compile them. PyPy relies on this info too, but JIT compiling.

You are right. It really depends on use cases. In many scenarios, a 5mb lib is just another dep that build tools such as sbt will handle for you. In many others, 5mb overhead to a 500kb mobile app is obviously overkill. My use case is fine

Correct me if I got it wrong, but does it mean that putting any Python function in any() makes it run in C??? From my understanding, the any() version is faster is primarily because it avoids looking up .update() method each iteration. The

I don't like the idea. But the price makes sense: (try to figure out how they decide this price) 1. Xcode is 4.2GB in size. 2. Bandwidth costs about $0.10/GB, so that's $0.42 per download. 3. Every update requires re-downloading. 4. We'll
