Not sure why you are downvoted, but I'm wondering too why anyone would use this costly method instead of, say, SimpleNote.

Firefox 4 ditched WebSockets for security reasons. Does anybody know the justification to add it back now? More specifically, do they fix the security issue of WebSocket, or do they just give up to the popular demand?

For those wondering what's new: “So what are the big changes? NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. Sure, we have the usual two thirds driver changes, and a lot of random fixes, but the point is that 3.0 is just about renumbering, we are very much

The parent said “You don't need to use hashbangs or fragments for this”. I'm just pointing out there is no way to _not_ use fragments and still have a single page app. I do agree that we should probably leave IE users to reload pages and pr

There is no way you can change the URL (not fragments) without refreshing the page (a.k.a single page app) if the browser doesn't support history.pushState. IE doesn't. That's why people are stuck with hashbangs.

GDrive = “syncing files, viewing files on the Web, shared spaces for collaborating on a document, offline access, local IO speeds” sounds exactly like Dropbox. Apparently they are thinking too far ahead in the future where Internet connecti

Just say it first and then worry about how to say it more elegantly. I know it's hard to resist the urge to make it perfect the first time, but I guess that's required skill in many situations anyway.

Optional dots, semicolons and sometimes parenthesis, underscores as placeholders, and interchangeable parenthesis and braces are about the only syntactic sugar in Scala AFAIK. They are really minimal compared to, for example, Python decorat

No. On the contrary, Scala has a very minimal syntax. Syntactic sugar are rare in Scala.

When Intel was demonstrating Light Peak and citing Apple as a collaborator, I was hoping that they could go with optical fiber embedded in the MagSafe power cord. Maybe it will be in the next generation of Thunderbolt.

Where does the $3000 price tag come from? The high-end configuration of 27" iMac costs $2000. Considering the 2560x1600 screen and a bunch of other goodies, I'll be happily paying for it.
