I have never understood the dislike for Google chat. I’ve been using it since it first came out even for friends and it’s everything I want in a chat.

Nationalism and borders have done very little for humanity. The world would be a better place if we defined our communities by how we welcomed people and not by who we excluded

I said nothing about cheap labour. People should get to move and live where they want. If Switzerland has a lack of infrastructure it should build more, not xenophobically cap its population. You can’t freeze a society in amber.

Typical right wing popularism to divide people and ignore the fact they have no actual solutions. Racism is bad people. This will hurt people living in Switzerland today and those who end up there in the future.

I think the insurance industry is will take a simpler route: humans will be held 100% responsible. Any decisions made by the ai will be the responsibility of the human instructing that ai. Always. I think this will act as a brake on the age

That figure is straight from Flok's own press release. There were deep deep methological flaws in the calculation of that figure. https://archive.is/7iNyQ - this is an excellent piece breaking down the many many flaws

You should like a scary driver to share the road with. Your whole description of the “joy” of driving is all about how little attention you are spending on the actual driving part. When you drive you are responsible for a massive complex de

Cars aren’t remotely cozy. They are incredibly stressful to drive, are a huge cost, and are dangerous to those inside and out. Every complain about public transit being unsafe is twice as true about cars

If you built for cars you get traffic and congestion: if you built for people (transit, bike lanes, pedestrianization) you will get community Also ban free parking

Cars, and in particular, parking, kills cities. Parking is sponge that sucks all the life out of places. The High Cost of Free Parking is an incredible book that shows exactly how awful parking has been for society.

I like graffiti - even random tags over blank walls because it’s a sign people are truly living and breathing in a space. As long as there have been walls there has been graffiti. Spaces without graffiti are artificial and antiseptic.
