I literally watched this a couple days ago. James Earl Grey (Jack Ryan"s boss in the movie) is gone too.

I love that movie and I loved Tim Curry in it. If you see it next to the Rocky Horror Picture Show (edit: and as pennywise in IT!) it really displays how wide the interpreting skill of the actor were.

FYI, threads does not have fediverse interop for European users. As in, if you use threads and are in Europe, you have no option to enable mastodon to read threads replies.

Dan Brown didn't copy Eco, he lifted most of the stuff from The Templar Revelation[0] (and he explicitly cites that). [0] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Templar_Revelation

I think TFA does not make this very clear, but it really depends on what "tourist site" is. In the past nobody went to London to take a picture of a phone booth, but you did take a picture of a phone booth anyway. You'd go to

I remember the '80s and people showing you projector slides of their vacations, or picture albums. In the 00s, I recall a friend who made videos of his vacations to make this faster and more bearable :) Social media is problematic but

Ultraviolet is prnamed that because of the Latin meaning of ultra as "beyond", as it's "beyond violet" in the spectrum, same as infrared is "below red". This would be "sideways green" perhaps :)

Many times I have asked my Hungarian wife whether a sound is "a" or "a with an accent" (A vs Á), but they are different letters in Hungarian, not just variations of one as they are in Italian. We made a mess with "a

Wonderful, and even misses a lot of things! Glass windows that let light in but not cold and rain. Smokeless cooking. Mattresses that don't need to be fluffed up. We're accustomed to so, so many things. Toilets!
