The title is link-bait at its worst. An honest title would read: Scott Forstall sells 95% of his vested AAPL shares With a subtitle: ... because he's in line to get 5x more shares in the future He sold 64,151 shares but by 2016 he will ha

In the interview he explains that they did not go through a proper YC batch because "the timing didn't really work out". They had been through the process before and he had got to know pg well. Hope that helps!

What a great interview. Thanks for sharing. He comes across extremely well. I would trust him with my company's cash-flow.

The best minds can teach. I started learning Ruby at a class from Jim Weirich and Joe O'Brien in Edinburgh. I arrived without any programming knowledge whatsoever. The rest of the class were all experienced programmers looking to dive into

What an incredible story. Think back 4 years to 2008. Where were you? What were you doing? Imagine going on the journey that the founders of AirBnB have had in the next 4 years. Some people out there are starting something that will grow as

Just over a year ago I drove my friend, Josh Buckley, from LA to SF for his YC interview. Since then I have had the pleasure of watching how YC can help transform a number of things: 1.) His product, www.minomonsters.com, has evolved from a

This is fantastic. Payments are still so shit across the world. I have a lot of respect for startups that try and take on the task of changing them for the better.

Hi Fred. I would love to hear about examples of small companies that got it right. Have any stood out? What hiring techniques would make you happy?

I wonder what it feels like to change the world. I wonder how it feels to wake up every day and know that you have, in your lifetime, completely changed the way the world functions and, long after your gone, those changes will be traced bac

I completely disagree with this article. I have only just picked up programming in the last couple of years (at 23). I absolutely love it. Why's poignant PDF got me hooked. I am never going to be an expert programmer but I am going to run a

I am still stunned that they respond so swiftly to this but have not dealt with SMS spoofing in years: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3509228 This is certainly bad, but SMS spoofing has the potential to do a lot more damage. People t

We just fundamentally disagree on whether this is bad or not. All I can say is that if lots people got hold of my app it would be awful.

Sorry for not explaining the Apple reference in more detail. What I meant was I love Apple because they really care about their customers. They seem to give a damn. The networks do not. Just look at this reply from the UK network Three:
