I was not comparing them. I think the "set of dotfiles" was called Omakub. Omarchy is a distro like any other - custom installer, bootloader, desktop and WM setup, etc.

Red Hat: billions, Canonical/Ubuntu, SUSE: hundreds of millions, Debian: one million/year. It's not that unusual for a distro to get funding - just a different scale here due to their connections. Their foundation is now spon

It is kind of crazy that Python allows shadowing standard library modules so easily. If this was a 'feature' in node.js it would have been front-paged and bashed to death in the blink of an eye.

Lewis Carrol was about 123 years ahead! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mouse%27s_Tale I know the feeling - a lot of what I remember from the internet 20 years ago simply doesn't exist, and is unfindable on any

Nice work. I would suggest rewriting your README with Gemini, the most human of them, so it doesn't read exactly like the thing you are pointing at: https://github.com/louisabraham/load-bearing

The term harness engineering does not come from Birgitta Boeckeler's article in martinfowler.com. It was first used by Mitchel Hashimoto months earlier in his 'My AI adoption journey' blog post [1], and immediately picked u

The two linked issues are for the same bug report. A friend has been urging me to install Omarchy for months. I’ve finally caved in after a horrible experience with highly-praised CachyOS. All I can say is, I understand the hype. It works.

I had Ox Alpha working on coding tasks for a couple days non-stop, via OpenRouter and OpenCode Zen. Crush harness. It was able to complete tasks at a level that I'd put between Sonnet and Opus. It makes few mistakes, but is not that sm

I hope this is not Kimi K3.5 because it really sucks. It is very slow, not particularly smart when it comes to coding, and easily starts going in circles - when not straight up going into a doom loop.

The idea that sellers, especially small businesses, need to pay a fee to compensate for their packaging is already an insult. We already pay 50%+ income tax, 19% VAT on every purchase, how come the costs are not already included in public s

I use Opus 5 almost exclusively at low effort, and get good results. Especially on high it seems to go out on completely unasked-for tangents. Same seems to be true for Sonnet 5. Older models did not behave like this. The mood change in j

Hard disagree. Make more TUIs! TUIs have downsides like accessibility, poor mouse support, but work really well if you focus on keyboard input. It is a better/faster input mode to begin with, especially for power users, but also for

One would think so, but is that really true? Some numbers I just got: - the US imports 60-70% of its oil from Canada - 100% of the natural gas - 85% of energy imports - 25% of Uranium - 20% of all mineral imports, ahead of China - the Great
