Thanks. Ironically I think of it as an anti-drama tool. For me, the drama is that removals are very often hidden from their authors, and revealing that puts people back on the same page.

I'm glad to see more of this conversation happening. I made reveddit [1] to provide oversight for secret removals which happen more often than you may think. For example, [2] is an upvoted comment from a mod-verified contributor that w

Reveddit works fine with the current workings of reddit and the archive service's APIs. Removeddit's domain lapsed. Prior to that it was working, except on Firefox with Tracking Protection (see https://www.reveddit.com&

You can search by date with Pushshift, and I built in a UI for that on reveddit [1]. Just visit a subreddit page and select a date under filters. [1] https://www.reveddit.com

That's correct. I'm the author of Reveddit. A few things like user pages and the desktop extension work entirely without Pushshift. Threads can function somewhat without it. I maintain a FAQ with details of how it works in case an

Fair to say it's about incentives? I think it's possible to run a profitable social media company that does care. We're just stuck with too few options. I'm unaware of any that make transparency a core value by, say, ope

Does your research data include moderator actions? I imagine such data may be difficult to gather. On reddit it's easy since most groups are public and someone's already collected components for extracting such data [1]. I show so
