I highly recommend you actually check out GraphQL. It definitely feels like it traverses relationships like a graph. It is more similar to a query language... like SQL actually because like SQL you can add more columns and more tables "

But I thought REST was a "protocol neutral architectural style", so why are we stuck with 200, 201, 202, 204, 3xx, 4xx, 5xx which "are usually fine alone".

Well, yes Vitamin D does attenuate immune response. However the science on citokine storms is most probably wrong and not associated with covid, and at this point has become hard to stop the information train on. If there's one thing I

It's really not worth noting. There's a real link between vitamin D's usefulness that's part of the broader picture which is why vitamin D articles are getting increasing attention not just in hacker news. Your comment w

It seems like every 2 months I feel the burn of JS not having more standard primitive types and choices for numbers. I get this urge to learn Rust or Swift or Go which lasts about 15 minutes... until I realize how tied up I am with JS. But

I don't disagree - but we would be subsidizing them anyway through higher cost of goods - since the only reason they are running around on the freeways is to deliver shit.

I want Snowden to be pardoned. And I think the data collection network was both illegal and morally wrong. But that doesn't make me believe these kinds of articles. Most of these types of articles for the past numerous years have the s

Wasn't the whole point of WHATG to not focus on the browser / specific implementations, but on the standards? I mean it was a ploy to dethrone IE. Just because IE has been dethroned, doesn't mean the purpose of the group shou

TLDR of this referenced article: In each and every scenario and study that is examined there is a general consensus that Vitamin D deficiency may be correlated to increased susceptibility or severity of COVID-19. The final conclusion is a w

It is interesting reading the comments. It's funny too because I would say most of the time people advocate others to create side projects because you never know if it will become the next big thing. Obviously there are some amazing su

I've noticed this specific case being brought up on HN 3 times in the past 3 weeks (from different sources). I think it's a dead horse. Beyond that, I would wholeheartedly recommend people take 3000 UI per day while COVID is float

I am not saying that. I'm saying that the polling data is so flawed because it's not getting into a specific democratic that it's off by much wider margin. So much so that if Trump wins again it's because it was a 40% ch

That's what I came in to say. If it happens again I think we can conclude that at this point, the people voting and the people getting ahead looking polls (say on the internet, random calls, etc..) are not the same people.
