There's a higher friction to working with that isolated environment. It's hard to take stuff out of a running container; and it's hard to access files/programs on the host from within the container. There may be advantag

Apparently the original vi isn't POSIX compliant; nor is vim. https://vimhelp.org/vi_diff.txt.html#posix I think "if the script worked before, I want it to work later" has much more practical weight. Though,

It's easier to maintain one codebase than to maintain two forks. If development of vim dropped and neovim was nominated as its successor, I'd think most vim users would be just fine.

With caveats: - Different servers may have different versions of the program. Some distros are very "stable" and have very old versions of programs. - It's common (especially for vim) for users to have significant configurati

At two extremes, say: If I read your books and use them as a strong foundation from which to write stories (e.g. I don't do any worldbuilding, & just re-use settings/characters without my own introduction), it seems reasonable

New Zealand uses "chips" for two kinds. e.g. I'd use the name "chip sandwich" for a sandwich with crisps in them; a "chip butty" is sandwich with thick-cut french fries.

Other kinds of bias I'd be concerned about: because learning a new layout takes effort, probably there's emotional investment to avoid having to switch (for those who haven't learned another layout); or probably there's

Many people have tried alternative layouts and stick with them. I have not seen many anecdotes where people get used to an alternative layout, and then revert to using QWERTY because they find QWERTY more comfortable to use.

I played this on the Switch. It's fine on the Switch. I'll say that with most "role playing" games (e.g. Witcher 3), you'll be tempted to try and be the most noble options; or think that the 'right' option

I would have thought most discussions around "UI vs CLI" are more about "GUI vs CLI". Keyboard-driven git UI's which aren't GUI are relatively niche. (I can think of magit, tig, and lazygit). Whereas, a git beg
