You learn by using it. Videos, books, etc. are good as a starter but to actually learn it you need to experiment, do exercises and preferably use what you exercised in a real project, something you care about.

Separate memory for the actors and communication via messages sounds like the reinvention of tasks in a classic RTOS (e.g. pSOS, Kadak AMX). Nothing C just could do, stuff which was usually done in C.

I use the iPad Pro and the pen as well. For taking handwritten notes, drawing, annotating slides, etc. I use Notability. I reviewed a few of these apps and liked it because it has a macOS version, offers the option to store all files on a l

I like that. Tried it with a few Greek letters with accents. Works nicely, in particular on a touch screen. Just getting a GREEK SMALL LETTER IOTA was maybe too ambiguous. :-) A filter for the subset of characters (e.g. Greek only) would be

I was always under the impression that human multitasking means failing at multiple things at once. It seems to be just that different people feel different about success.

It is pretty simple. If I am forced to attend unnecessary meetings I either bring my laptop and it is a valid assumption that I am not 100% following the meeting or I bring something else if laptops are banned (printouts, etc.). Worst case

I wonder how this camera compares to a Sony A7 (or it's successors) if the Sony is paired with a comparable lens. I recall having heard that either the first or the second generation A7 has the same sensor as the Leica Q but this might

Singapore has the death penalty on drug possession and is a very safe place in general compared to the US. There might be more Asian states fulfilling the statement (Thailand?), but this was the first one which sprung to mind.

While the article has a point on the differences which makes success or not in shareware the phrase Ask empowering questions like, "How can I increase sales by 20% or more?" sounds a lot like bullshit bingo.

Perforce does what is requested in the article: - Working with large files - Getting only the needed files form the sever, not all - Not wasting space with .svn/.git copies of the files - Reasonably fast. They have quite some customers
