I am not sure that anything on redtube or pornhub etc could be construed as a "beautiful thing". How would you feel if your 6 or 7 or 10 year-old daughter unsuspectingly clicked on a tube link?

by retube 13y ago
Yes absolutely. Most on HN are not parents. They will feel differently when their 9 year-old daughter clicks on a redtube link that someone posted somewhere.

Becuase I don't want hard core porn like the tubes being freely and instantly accessible to my kids. 1) No I am not "abdicating" my responsibilities as a parent. I will teach them appropriatre netiquette etc. There will alway

Yeah I don't know how they get away with breaking Google's sacrosanct rule of not sticking content behind a paywall that they make visible to Google.

Yeah! I always thought it would be mint to be able to do whatever you wanted, put a saturn V engine in it you wanted. Would make great telly. Ditto the paralympics - there should be a class where they can pimp up their kit to the max.

I sure hope those guys are keeping their keys safe. Also - there's 4 addresses with almost exactly the same number of coins (40000) who all last transacted on april 9. Surely connected. Also also: why do so many btc balances end with &

I wish I could vote this post down, an empty article with no insight that gets it completely wrong in the very first sentence.

No. Of course it can be regulated. Indeed it could be flat out made illegal. Just because you can't physically stop people from doing stuff doesn't mean a law can't (or shouldn't) be enacted. Having a "no murder&quo

That is a very naive and idealistic position. Governments often and rightly have genuine reasons for keeping things secret - as do other institutions, businesses and indeed individual people.

It depends. If the image is innocent then i'll let it pass. But if it is in any way compromising then yes that's abusing my privacy.

by retube 13y ago
Here here. It's a gross abuse of privacy posting pictures of your children online. Unfortunately many parents seem not to stop to think of the possible ramifications a few years down the line.

You have absolutely every right to request your friends don't post pictures of you on facebook (or anywhere else). If they don't respect that... then I know who the "dick" is.
