I was hoping to see more responses :). Looks like hacker community already has ditched Java Web frameworks. I personally like how Play has evolved, but adoption is severely thin. They just got typesafe backing but Spring with the muscle beh

I am exploring play for my next project, and all i can say is i am thoroughly impressed. With typesafe providing resources, i am hoping this seriously dents J2EE stacks.

2 years back i spent 2K on a group of 4, movies and dinner. It is getting expensive. Growing up, i never spent more than 100 rupees on dinner for one.

This comparison is asinine at best. The runtime is bound to be bigger. And remember DART eventually will have the runtime included in Chrome and hopefully other browsers. The way things are going in the browser world, all people might actua

We are evaluating Cloud foundry (Java GWT App) and so far changes seem doable to port. The reason cloud foundry is viable is that there is no lock in and if one provider flips another one is just round the corner.

agreed that there are more costlier things to worry, but spending the money should be justified. Just the buzz is not a good enough reason, there has to be better reasons. I have personally not experienced downtimes which might justify a be

This makes more sense, random users being able to request RESETS. I agree sending a time bound link to registered email is better. What type of token generation mechanism would you use to send with the link to identify a user or to make sur

Hmm...interesting. Click wise it probably is less clicks and you are also forcing the user to change his password. Unless you add logic to ask the user to change his password with one time token, it probably makes more sense to send a link

We do use BCrypt. Trying to figure out if implementing an extra layer of sending an email with a link to reset password has advantages over just sending a one time changed password.

Google Chromebook will have updates but they will be of chrome browser types where they happen behind the scenes and downloads are tiny. You restart your browser and you are on a new version. No one even cares what version of chrome browser
