I have been there the last few times and I was never disappointed! There were roughly about 30 people I would guess, working on very different things (arduino hackers, lawyers, web devs, firmware programmers, people who just enjoy reading H

Actually, I do not think so. Apple would have nothing to gain from integrating own Apps further and/or producing more of them. However, they have something to gain if the mail app is not good enough for powerusers and all of them buy Sparro

Your Starcraft example is flawed, because Starcraft is NON OSS. Therefore, they chose other means of cheating prevention. You might argue that it is security by obscurity but it is working more or less to a certain extend. I have an example

This is ridiculous. Of course I hope it is going to work best on the MS Tablet. Why not? It'd be a fail if it wouldn't work best on their own OS. There is nothing whatsoever wrong with that, in fact, it is called decent engineering. And if

I am actually surprised that the battery only lasts 3-4h on a mbp on linux. on the x220 i get around 6h with the 6cell battery, obviously depending on use.

As far as I know, you could do delta uploads with encrypted files. It should not be any different if the file itself is encrypted. For the same reason you can e.g. use rsync delta syncs with encrypted files...

As I used Win in 2002 I was wondering why you consider IE the worst browser at that time. Is there a reason for that? What were the better alternatives? At that time, I found IE to be superior, actually. Also, do you have more information o

As you said, secure VIRTUAL memory refers to swapped memory. Meaning it is encrypted when it is written to disk. Seeing as the password is probably in near constant use, it will never be written to disk and therefore stays UNENCRYPTED in ra

Seeing as dropbox stores the file local, you will not have any problem with mounting it simultaneously. You couldn't merge the changes, though. The bigger problem would be to access it e.g. on your iphone/from the web. For that reason, the

What Browser are you on? I tried FF12. For me, once I clicked the thing, not matter what I do, it will unzip, even if pulled up all the way again.

It looks like a neat feat, but it is not really interactive, I think. When I pull it somewhat down and then all the way up again, all while keeping mouse1 pressed, it will still unzip.

Not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. Would really really annoy me, tough. If I reinstall an OS, I do it because I want a clean plate, everything back to "standard". Opening my old tabs in my browser tells me, that it kept various conf
