While I kind of agree with you, I have to add a few things. Especially concerning the startup culture in Japan. Yes, it is looked down upon by most, however, it exists. Compared to SV or London or Berlin it is fairly small, but it is there.

I totally agree with you, except for the last sentence. Email is great, yes. However, please continue to innovate, because there could be something more awesome than email which would render email redundant.

Well, the baby of Facebook and Basecamp would definitely be online, which makes it impossible for it to even want to compete with email. If you cannot search, read and write messages OFFLINE it has failed in my eyes. Outside of silicon vall

Well as it stands, matte screens are: a) easier on the eyes - you don't have to look through a mirror to be able to see What you want to see. b) you can actually see something if you are not in your cellar with all lights dimmed (unless yo

Nice service, I like the idea very much. One problem I noticed with it though: It does not work correctly with Japanese text. I can input & "save" Japanese, but upon opening that link the text will not be displayed correctly.

Very good Idea I think. Flashblock is one of the most useful plugins to me right now. Although I think that mozilla will definitely have to implement a very easily accessible whitelist to go along. Otherwise, it will become slightly annoyin

Please back the backdoor claim up, it's the first time I've read that and it does not really make sense (to me), as there would be no reason to do so...

I have to admit that I don't know about the situation in the US, but in Europe you generally will not get your full car reimbursed if you drive it against a wall. Unless you have some disgustingly expensive car insurance of course...

While your calculation is correct, you do not include a rather important fact. Owning a car which you intend to sell in a couple years is a risk. Even though the cost of ownership of a $100k car and $40k car might not be much, it will turn

He was referring to the first six months of child raising. Therefore, the total cost is definitely higher and may well trump taxes, depending on when your definition of "child raising" stops.

Well, as you probably knew when you wrote this comment, there are locations which are more expensive. If you would want to, you could probably spend double that and not even get drunk, by e.g. booking a table or w/e... Whether it is rationa
