This seems to be a bonafide FOSS project, the correct way to ask for features is either to provide patch or money not this..

I learned it in the mandatory part of school (I'm French) so while I'm sure lots of people have forgotten it, most did learn it at school..

ROFL you're right that the computer is really bad, I won in 7 round which is a first for me (against a computer) and I'm bad at chess. It reminds of a reversi I made for a school projects: users liked it because the computer was s

Well Rust has the most momentum, but going from C to Rust is quite a jump. Zig isn't even 1.0. Odin,DasBetterC have not much uptake. OCaml has a GC which is a non-starter for kernel, it could be used in user space sure.

While I think that learning assembly is very useful, I think that one must be careful at applying assembly language concepts in a HLL C/X++/Zig.. For example, an HLL pointer is different from an assembly pointer(1). Sure the HLL

If it's written like this it must be quite low.. Note though that 'grid batteries' are a very important part for solar transition and they have very different requirement for weight and energy density than electric cars..

Interesting, software used to be developed as a scarce resource but he's saying that having too much SW leads to many issue. I wonder if this will (in the long term) lead to the usage of language(s) with no ambiant authority to improve

So in this case C or C++ is safer than Ada (if you use GNAT) but at the price of reduced performance, funny no? Note that at some point Zig had the same semantic as Ada, but then they changed to use C's (less efficient) semantic: this

Try it: change the size of the array: with a small array, it's passed by value, with a big array it's passed by reference and the value of "result2" is changed..

Well godbolt doesn't think so.. 1) this example has an aliasing, no compiler error. https://godbolt.org/z/hzWfj37ef 2) The output value depends of the size of IntArray! >> with Ada.Text_IO; use Ada.Text_IO;

I haven't tried this one but I tried SpaceVim which threw error messages and was slower to start than VSCode --> I switched fully to VSCode.

While you're right on the LED part, this bike lanes is obviously misdesigned.. I have a similar one next to my house and fell from my bicycle due to its poor design, some French civil engineer also don't care :-(

You're right nobody will use it: it's a one man language are you going to bet your codebase on it? It probably doesn't have any tooling, debugggers.. Are the error messages from the compiler good?
