I just got that email, "we have updated the Steam Subscriber Agreement". It seems that the only way to not accept the new agreement is to close your Steam account. I assume they don't provide any way to use the games you boug

If by "working on it" you mean "changing configuration files "... "Good practice" is never an argument btw. "It's good practice" means arguments exist, it is not an argument.

Unless your server has very unusual features, or there are VERY serious kernel vulnerabilities, all an attacker can do is read files accessible to the server's user or run code as the server's user. And possibly serve attacker-con

Chunked encoding is pretty easy no? Just write the full size and \r\n, you can send as one chunk. It does mean you have to read the client's headers to see if it was requested, though.

Seems like the worst of both worlds. You need to recompile for content changes, and you need to distribute multiple files.

Each number in your btree would actually be a key-value pair. So you can find the key fast, and then you have the value. Databases including SQLite usually use b+tree for tables (a variant where only the leaves have data, the interior nodes

It might just be a case of the price not staying high for long when it is high. If every time you notice it's higher than usual, you do this, and notice the price eventually decreasing... but you never switch apps when the price is alr

The obvious spelling would be "3 million", why replace obscure abbreviations with more of the same?

M is the SI prefix for million (not a unit). m is the SI unit symbol for meter. Minute is not a SI unit, as the SI unit of time is the second.

I use the free tiers of Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud, and pay AWS for everything important (that I can't run bare-metal). Azure I can't use at all. Impossible to find the products I want in the UI.

I found that some cloud providers and other tools like minikube don't play nice with other clusters in the same config. I now use a tiny shell function that selects KUBECONFIG out of a folder, and adds the current cluster name's t

Minio used to have a filesystem backend that would store each file as a file on the local filesystem. They removed this, so lots of people still use the last version before that. https://blog.min.io/deprecation-of-the-minio-

What about client libraries? I feel a bit weird using valkey with redis client, but I also feel weird switching client libraries if they are not affected by any license change.

I have a few containers on the last OSS Elasticsearch version, and everybody uses the last filesystem-transparent Minio version. I am not sure why you are being downvoted, this is not a good plan but definitely happens in practice.
