That’s also a 6 year old device man, it is amazing that a device with such an old battery is still running at all, I presume its been a daily driver all this time?

Depending on how degraded the original battery was it isn't necessarily placebo. If iOS detects a severely degraded battery it will clock down the CPU slightly to cope with it, sacrificing a little performance to keep the device stable

I 100% agree with this. Apple should be allowed to put whatever restrictions they want on apps in the App Store. The problem is they don't allow apps to come from anywhere else, this is the core of the issue and what everything event

No I meant like APNS, which is what iOS uses to send notifications to iOS devices. It's the only way to get iOS to display a notification currently, and it isn't possible to register your own backend for it, so if you want notific

Which would be fair game except to my knowledge there’s no API in iOS that enables the use of anything other than APNS for notifications. I could be mistaken though!

When I have to deal with a SAS controller my go to is always to see if it's possible to flash it with IT (initiator/target) firmware so that it just becomes basically pass through disks for the OS to handle however it pleases.

As I understand it everything Rust is seen as "optional", so a CONFIG_RUST=n build that succeeds means a-OK, then some Rust person will do a CONFIG_RUST=y build, see it's broken, fix it, and submit a patch. I may be wrong, bu

Which is a moot point because the agreement right now is that Rust code is allowed to break, so the C developer in question can just ignore Rust, and a Rust person will take care of it for them.
