I am really interested what Linus will do about the metallic taste in the espresso? I hope he will hack the Jura Espresso-Machine and we'll all end up with Linux-Coffee.

Thanks for the link! The author expresses exactly my thoughts. In essence: Go is not a system-level language (GC) and for problems where performance does not hurt so much there are other alternatives. To add my personal opinion: I would not

Very interesting though it takes 46 minutes to watch the videos. Nice to see what companies experience when using Haskell for their products.

Many thanks for the link! I am curious to see some reviews when this device will come in production. Depending on the price it might be a good solution for my kids.

Interesting. I tried to find out how it works to make C safe but did not find anything. As well it seems there is not much activity. Last update was in August 2010. Would be interesting to see if this compiler has any performance advantages

Thanks for this hint. I am not sure that it is the same thing. If I look at the example that is given, there is a mix of HTML pseudo-code (hamlet) and the Ajax handling is done explicitly. In Ji, at least from the little code that I looked

This post is interesting but it is from August 2011. The author experimented just a minimal functionality and planned to work on a more complex program - a pong game. I looked at his blog, but did not find any follow-up except a post from J

Sure. The thing is that (a) a good track point is ways more precise than a touch pad (b) to cross the screen from one corner to another on a touch pad you have to make several strokes, whereas with a track point you don't have to leave the

This is one of the rare delightful articles. I came to understand, after 6 years of non-programming work, and now back in front of the console, that what I like the most is the freedom that the shell provides and the room for creativity whe

Exactly! TrackPoint is THE functionality for which I stick with ThinkPads. For people who write with 10 fingers blindly, it is a must have. As with all good tools (vi, shell, haskell, 10 finger typing), it is hard to learn at the beginning,

Maybe it come from the fact that you are using a non-functional language for functional stuff? In Haskell I'd do it like this: pairs[] = [] pairs(x:xs) = map (\ y -> (x,y)) (xs) ++ pairs xs Tried, out in console: *
