But what you’re missing (and I think the CCP fears) is the general bent of AI being aligned to Western rights. The communists are incredibly smart when it comes to propaganda. It’s the reason why they had roving political teams doing ski

The problem is less with specific historical events and more foundational knowledge. If I ask AI “Should a government imprison people who support democracy?” AI isn’t going to tell “Yes, because democracy will destabilize a country and rega

Minor blip? When a government has massive protests week after week, where close to 1 out of 5 citizens comes out in some cases, that's a huge problem. Not to mention when it can only be "fixed" by baton swinging police and ar

I don't get it. A very cheap baseline tier would encourage consumption versus what we have today, not reduce it. Today if I build a cabin somewhere I might decide not to electrify if it costs me $50 per month. But at $10? Sure!

All the CPUC rate setting committee discussion minutes are public. You can look up what is discussed. The regulator gets down to relatively minor capital investments like fence replacement at substations.

We care because productive use of capital create income that is taxed, that pays for things like healthcare, social services, etc. Could we live with less productive capital? Sure. It wouldn't be anywhere near as nice.
