I use Ableton with Focusrite Scarlett 2nd gen. I'm currently using 256 buffer. I've tried using 128 but it screwed up some vocal takes I did the other day (there are 5-10 seconds of cracks in the middle of each 4 minute long compl

I record via interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2nd gen) and also have pop issues with it; when I used it with my old laptop it worked much, much better (on the same settings).

Yeah, all my audio equipment (keyboards, controllers, interface) is USB A and I don't see producers switching en masse (and even if they do, do I really want to throw away my favorite keytar?). The only exception is Roli block but Roli

By dongles you mean just hubs or also adapters? Unfortunately, I also want to record vocals or external instruments for which I need a MIDI interface (which uses USB A); and I don't think you can buy USB C midi keyboard yet (actually R

I did switch from 2012 Macbook Air to 2019 Macbook Pro a few weeks ago and I can't agree more with the article. One of the reasons I'm using Mac instead of Linux is that I make music. And the new Macbook sucks for this purpose: th

I think there's other way of looking into this: in Haskell we have well defined semantics (when you look at function you have explicit information about what is happening) and we managed to get to familiar syntax. In C we have very mes

I know about this video, but I think opinions of users who used this software back when McAfee actually worked on it (who apparently left company mid-nineties) would be more trustworthy than his own claims. I've tried some googling, bu

Supposedly McAfee antivirus software turned awful after being taken over by Intel. I don't have a source on that, but I've seen this sentiment in a few places. As for some murder scandal, I think it makes sense to check out his si

It is worth noting that in Haskell you don't have something like NullPointerException (the type system won't allow for that), and using Maybe actually is a bit different than writing 'if (obj != null)' everywhere, if you are into stuff like

Perhaps it was something like: 1. OP finds an IP in [insert-not-so-large-irish-city-name-here]. 2. OP remebers having a friend in [not-so-large-irish-city], somehow obtains his IP (which is not a hard thing). 3. Bingo, adresses
