Reminds me a bit of http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com Old Internet times that will probably never come back.

I think they just need to wait a bit and then present something more sensible as the new hot design.

   >less-technical people able to quickly access Why would somebody even want to access that file? It doesn't make any sense to make that more user friendly, it's for LLMs.

Windows 2000 was peak usability. Windows XP was also good, especially with the Classic or Standard themes.

I don't understand why new proposed standards are still polluting the root namespace (also see llms.txt). These things should be put under /.well-known [1], not in the root. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W

Technically, there is: users of the European Union can get a full export of all data that Apple has about them, including all the stored photos. It can be requested from here: https://privacy.apple.com/

You're technically right, it seems like they had one single unclosed <p> right at the end of the page, for the copyright footer: https://web.archive.org/web/20010510221642/http://www.google...

That was an internet meme. The real ad said "You wouldn't steal a car".

Yeah, I agree. Google Photos is super confusing. Why would anybody ever want their pictures to disappear from their phone if they delete them on the web? It doesn't make any sense.

Me too. Nowadays I think Cinnamon (Linux Mint's default DE) has also a super good UX, it reminds me a lot of old school GNOME.

I also think that the absence of a title bar is so much annoying. They wanted to copy macOS, but macOS somehow used to do it better (at least before Tahoe).

I'd even say that a very small part of the world uses Fahrenheit for temperature :)

Ah yes, of course I can install an older version. I meant that it won't get new updates to future (and hopefully better) versions :(

Yeah, me too. The old Settings app was easy and intuitive; I hate the new one.

I agree, Liquid (Gl)ass is hideous. I'll stick to macOS Sequoia for the time being.

How can a system component have such a bad UX? (It's been like that for ages, probably since the times of Android 3)

    > none of the apps are built for this aspect ratio or screen size Android 16 forces developers to use a dynamic screen size, you can't force your app to be landscape only anymore. So maybe this aspect will be less of a problem in th

No, but imagine if Google, Meta and Netflix all publicly agreed to stop supporting IPv4 in X years. _Everybody_ would rush and make sure to switch everything to IPv6.

You're not totally wrong. Some European countries impose limits on short-term rents in order to limit services like Airbnb.

No, I confirm that this camera behavior also happens on iOS 16. But I agree that iOS and macOS 26 are the worst thing Apple made in a long time.

The same thing happened to me in Bucharest. The driver would give me a discount if I canceled my Uber reservation and paid in cash.
