It’s not ok to allow easy access to hardcore pornography by minors. There is already virtually no privacy in these matters in the sense that Google and others already track us so the argument against age verification on privacy grounds is

Since Obama’s presidency we know dragnet surveillance by the government is already the norm.

I believe most websites keep track of viewing history and ip addresses of where that history comes from. I believe if the government wanted to determine what your internet history is they could do so with a great deal of accuracy. As such

Years ago Google released anonymized browsing data to researchers. The researchers were able to determine who did the searches. I imagine a state actor can already determine almost everyone’s online activity.

I don’t understand what you are saying. The government can force providers to make their users prove their age. And people can violate the law and try to avoid this.

Such a proof does not exist. It is already the case that your porn viewing habits can be leaked. It’s just that at present the one storing the information is not the government.

Your points only make sense in the absence of bad and/neglectful parents. For many decades it was required to prove age in order to consume porn. Porn on the internet ought to have the same requirement. I don’t know the best way to

Very few students watch lectures online. There is massive amounts of cheating in online courses. Almost no online course requires proctored exams. Online education is overall worse, in terms of actual learning, than face-to-face courses.

Relatively, yes. In aggregate, the rich pay the lion’s share of taxes in the West. Your comment defeats the point you are trying to make. When talking about paying fair share or paying enough in taxes it’s the relative part that matters;

Who are you to decide what is or isn't disinformation? You can ask this question about any belief or position on a topic. We each decide for ourselves the answer and society decides this through its elected leaders and the judiciary

Yeah. The people who keep touting how the alternative to the Democrats is much worse don’t understand that voting for the less bad option, over time, leads to the same bad outcome. Just takes longer to get there. They also don’t understa

The breakup of an empire is always a pipe dream until it occurs. The U.S. will not defy history and last forever. At some point it will fracture.

The system needs a major overhaul. The DNC was making sure that did not happen while they had power. Instead of an orderly rewrite a wrecking ball was put in power. The DNC today is like Kerensky in 1917.

The question is whether or not the President has the authority to rescind monies allocated by Congress and signed into law. It is dysfunctional for money allocated by Congress to be rescinded according to the whims of one person. The prop

As stated I like the phrasing OP used. You are free to use another phrasing. What I’m not going to do is get into a debate on how to precisely define the terms used. One can nitpick any phrasing of any law/regulation. That’s why the
