On the other hand I wonder what effect easily accessible credit cards have on overall sales for products like this. On a personal level it would be a stretch for me to spend $2200 when I could get a used airdyne and an ipad for less than ha

Meetings often destroy my productivity for the day. I’ll be in the flow all morning, but once I have an hour long standup meeting (or similar scattered topic based meeting) I struggle to regain focus for the rest of the day.

I’ve been having a good experience with safari + ublock origin. Firefox tends to consume a lot of system resources on my pretty modest machine.

My only use for chrome is to interact with the google web apps that don’t work well in firefox or safari. Otherwise it wouldn’t be installed. IMO Google softly requires you to use chrome because their tools, in my experience, are unstable

Interesting not to see a mention of reaper, which is a fairly popular DAW with linux support (“experimental”)

Also a lot of music is loop/clip based (one or more bars of music is a sample by itself) which can be repetitive and exactly in time every time. My favorite artists find ways to add a lot of variation, even to simple song structures.

Yeah knowing the audience is key. But an eye catching resume can also be very valuable. In this field a design with something like familiar grey/white fixed-width type on a matte black background, ascii table outlines, and “syntax” hig

I remember a job interview where the take home project was to parse a log file and search/sort by various top attributes as fast as possible. I thought about writing something from scratch, but I knew that whatever I could optimize in

Online radio and mixes. NTS and “the lot radio” are in my heavy rotation right now. Both stations have live DJs usually in 1-2 hour sets, and play a wide variety of music depending on the DJ.

This comes off as desperate. The sad truth is hardly anyone truly cares what you are doing at work. Really, think about how much you truly care what your peers do day-to-day. Your boss and co-workers care about: a) results b) not having to

Consumption of what? For example: Virtually every food item is packaged in plastic. And it’s not consumers who decided it was more cost effective to use disposable plastic than wash a reusable container.

Why is leadership important here? I’d say just contribute and try to get stuff done. Especially if you've only been there a few weeks. Focus on working with the people more than working with the tech.
