The system does bankrupt people, but it doesn't refuse to treat people. That is why people go bankrupt - the hospital has to treat everyone, then hands them an immense bill.

The populist notion of the noble yeoman suggests that most people don't know any actual farmers. The contemporary farmer isn't a very sympathetic character.

There isn't another app that does it all (capture, annotate, quick share, host the screenshot) besides Skitch, which was bought by Evernote.

Do linear algebra and stats+prob before getting into multivariable calc. You can probably leave DiffEq out entirely unless you're getting into modeling. Math for computer science is a grab bag. Graph theory comes up a lot but propositional

I wouldn't say the homogeneity is disturbing. Like attracting like is a common human theme. However, it is a bit disappointing. That said, it seems like SV isn't really into the media agency industry, either. Even Apple's marketing is done

Python also has scientific libraries that don't have equivalents in other dynamic languages. I don't agree that Python is free of weirdness, though. Perl and Ruby just happen to have extra weirdness.

It's not the same. Startups go south, the founders split, things get wound down, and everyone tries again, or gets other jobs. This happens all the time. Nobody involved gets exiled to a small asian village. Matt Maroon said it better elsew
