He got a 1200 on the SAT back when it was 1600 scale, and was a C average student at Yale. He released his own report card: http://2004.georgewbush.org/bios/yale-transcript.asp Test scores and grades aren't everything, but it's hard to be

I worked at a startup in NYC that had a $200K pay cap. It applied to everyone, including executives. However, I believe they abandoned the policy because it made it too hard to hire.

Right, but where are these elusive low CoL places one can make $120K+ as a programmer? A $120K salary in NYC is equal to $40-60K in other parts of the country, sure. But in most other parts of the country, you will indeed be making $40-60K

I'm not sure what precedent there would be for either of those actions. All of the major universities "gamble" with their endowments in the various markets. There's the corny adage that Harvard is a hedge fund with a university attached.

I used to work at a big fashion e-commerce site, and this is the best advice in the thread. Don't rely on nerds for feedback on anything related to fashion. Try to get it in front of people who will actually be using it.

Most of those resumes are ridiculous and amount to little more than spam. The candidates from the pool of people Google actually wants to hire definitely have multiple offers.

Apple's own tutorials and videos are quite good. They are available once you become a paid ADC member. Hillegass's book is what most people use, but it's slightly dated at the moment. I actually prefer Ray Wenderlich's material these days.
