We recently invested in https://www.drinkkey.com/ I’ve been drinking it daily and I usually fast until 2-4pm. Anecdotally it’s helped with headaches and fatigue. I can’t rule out placebo effect, but I feel great.

Let’s go back to writing in assembly because if you’re writing in python you don’t understand what you’re doing (this is sarcasm of course). AI has decoupled code design from fabrication. We’re just going to need to improve our design langu

Nature is out to kill us. We’re doing a far better job in this fight than we ever have. I’d rather deal with problem of climate change than the problems of our ancestors.

This analysis ignores the impact of competition. A car produced today is better (and more complex to make) than a car produced in 1980. Technological productivity isn’t just about improving the number of units or dollar value produced/

You don’t seem to understand basic economics. When you get on a bus and pay for your ticket, is the rest of the ride a free ride? VCs are running a business too. Most VCs fail to return the capital to their LPs. That’s right, then spend 10

Abstraction seems too generous of an interpretation. A more parsimonious hypothesis is that random networks start out broken, structurally incapable of computation because the structure has parts where information stops flowing or signal ga

I’ve been to Switzerland a few times. It’s clean, safe, beautiful, leisurely and sophisticated. An amazing place to retire with $10m+. But at least for me, a tempting environment that’s too comfortable and indulgent for serious work.

Rupert Murdoch had to become a US citizen because the US wouldn’t allow a foreigner own a major media company. This is 100,000x worse.

Why is this surprising? Big Pharma is not good at innovation so they buy and partner with companies that have done the hard R&D and they focus on commercialization, distribution and manufacturing. It doesn’t mean that pharma R&D is

I have trouble taking people seriously who don’t understand basic economic constraints. The company loses about $170m/year. Without VC money it would have either been dead, sold, or a shadow of what it is.

Remind me, what exactly is the benefit of taking capital and competition out of the market? Founders should be doing due diligence on their investors, and if they have better options it’s theirs to take.

They’re working in small batch capacity right now so of course costs are high. Coffee is an enormous and fast growing industry. No coffee plantations were hurt in the making of this coffee. Also it is a ‘natural’ product.

This is a good outline of the major challenges for cultivated meat and one reason why we’ve had difficulty finding investable opportunities in this space. I do expect plant-hybrid will be necessary and can significantly bring down the cost.
