Microsoft Stores tend to have the surface books for demo. You could boot from USB to try xfce. You can also just buy one from a store with a lenient return policy.

The Talos is interesting but $3700 as an entry point is pretty painful.

I would be amazed if most important physical, mental, or social characteristics had zero underlying biological or genetic drivers, or if they were completely driven by underlying biology. Even small underlying differences can be amplified

Not necessarily (depends on how you define e2e). One could handle group messaging in a way where membership gives you full historical access vs. only when you were subscribed. In a corp environment you might even require that some groups re

There are lots of ways to do this in normal corporate environments more safely than Slack but with decent user experience. Some data can always be locally stored on the device and searched (maybe anything I've typed myself, or particul

If TWiT wins do they have to take over Twitter? Seems like a sneaky way for Twitter to get a full-time CEO.

I think it has to be done, but it should be done respectfully and proportionately — a high ranking CIA case officer merits much more scrutiny than a NASA scientist, etc. I think we have seen enough serious counterintelligence failures over

I've had far better experiences as a passenger in Y and C (I rarely fly intl F) on 767, 777, 787, and a340s than on any A380. With some airlines I actively seek out the 767 flights because they pre-date the "maximum density seati

There are a few other places in WA with fiber, too -- looks like Chelan County is one. They also have super-cheap electricity and are somewhat lower crime than Spokane, from what I can tell (which is the main drawback of Spokane; it's
