The non-PC argument here is that diversity directly opposed to community, and I think there's some truth to it. If everyone in an area has lived there for their entire lives, it doesn't really matter if it's apartment buildi

Maybe Amazon should let users opt in to “amazon labs” UX experiments around the core shopping experience. I’d love to be part of a trial which merged kindle store, physical books, a scanning service, a concierge “shop for hard to find book

Singapore is the jurisdiction (not third world, obviously) which is famous for paying "market" salaries to leaders. From everything I've seen/read, they get value for money. Presidential salary is about USD 3.5mm/yr

I'd like to keep the TouchID without touchbar, but what I really want is shortpassword+touchid (failing back to longpassword) everywhere they currently only support longpaswordpassword||touchid.

Why not set up a small collective to do this for all of the members, rather than just yourself?

Everything about AWS is too confusing. Exporting data from dynamodb, if it's more than 100 records, requires a bunch of setting up data pipeline, etc. An equivalent dump given something like mongodb would be one command.

Yeah, you could accomplish this for hq to satellite office over private circuits, MPLS, etc. That wouldn’t be enabled by default. If a carrier made a point of on-net connections being protected by default, it would probably be easier for mo

Why isn’t there a “premium” commercial Internet, similar to DOD NIPRnet, for b2b stuff and for communications to vetted infrastructure? A random business on the Internet (eyeball, not servers) cares a lot more about routes to AWS and Google

The obvious solution (making h1b non-transferable across employers again, without even the 30 day window) probably causes more harm than benefit here. I assume someone could abusively misuse h1b in the traditional Wipro/Infosys way any

Is the problem with whaling that whales are endangered, or that they're "too intelligent"? If the latter, is there a similar issue with hunting non-human primates?

This is like the business version of Assassination Politics leading to all identifiable people being utterly milquetoast and all activity happening under crypto-secure nyms. Someone will win an Econ Nobel for this.

Red Bull cans fit in 37/40mm round ammo pouches/elastic loops, something I learned in Iraq (I never had a 40mm, but there are a lot of molle pouches for 40mm which were useful for other stuff). Also Amazon or reship-stuff-from-Ama
