Thank you, this is good news and would cut my MRR to a fifth of what I was looking at with Twilio. Shoot me your email address and I’ll give you a permanently free account when we launch.

I use Twilio for the text messaging, and so they can handle up to 1600 characters per outgoing message request, and larger responses could also be broken into multiple response messages. Users can define LiquidJS templates on the system so

I'm working on a site called textmyapi.com (site's not up yet). It's a little SaaS platform that allows you to quickly define commands that can be sent over text messaging to invoke REST APIs. I got the idea when I was out ca

So true. There’s this funny line in one of Paul Graham’s essays where he says something like “making the wrong technology decision can doom your business - like choosing Windows in the 90s” I got such a kick out of that because I worked for

When I was coding full time I always followed a simple principal: if you really love this system and want it to succeed even after you leave the company, then keep it as simple as possible - sure, you could condense those ten lines into som

If this were the early 1900s, I wonder if people would be cheering YouTube for blocking kooks who claimed cigarettes weren't good for your health.

That’s the right way to do it, stock up on high quality canned and dry foods that you enjoy and then just cycle through the supply. One day you don’t feel like a fancy dinner so you crack open a few cans of chili and some nice mixed veggies

I was introduced to TCL/TK one summer when I was working at Sandia National Labs. I had been mostly doing C and ASM for the first part of my career, but the department I was contracted to was going through a dry spell in terms of fundi

I just want to congratulate the folks behind this for coming up with a great idea and executing it. Makes me wish I had time to play D&D again. Total brilliance, good luck with this!

I guess time will tell, but those sessions are like 3-4 hours, so is $3 an hour really too much to pay for a live DM hosting the game?

I can’t comment on Teams vs Slack, or on its other productivity features but I’ve been using Teams on a daily basis for some fairly large meetings and it’s never faltered - way more reliable than Skype was at least.

My favorite was the guy who would come into work, put his jacket on his chair, and then... go to his other full time job. He'd return in the evening to get his stuff and make it look like he'd been working long hours. He got away
