> Every cold shower study is fundamentally flawed as it can only be done on healthy individuals. Could you explain what you mean by that? Why can't unhealthy individuals participate? And even if they can't, are study results st

So TLDR - it depends? I had the opportunity to do a cold plunge (twice over two days) recently and I really enjoyed it. I felt "better" for several hours afterward. All my little aches and pains were gone, felt more clearheaded so

That is much clearer language, you might consider adopting that instead of "Request" which is very ambiguous.

Why did you ask the question and then go on to answer it using a sarcastic and borderline insulting description? A creator is anyone who creates content. Differentiated from a consumer, who is someone who (mostly) consumes content.

Based on the founder's history, I'd say it's probable and not just possible. Especially now that he's unbanned from Twitter, where he has a significantly larger audience...but continues to post on TS where he is more o

Somewhat tangential but is there any compelling reason to use Gimp over Photopea in 2023?

This article was about 4500 words too long. Meant to satisfy the author’s ego rather than convey information to the reader. I’ll save you some time: “Timeshare sales pitches are high pressure and hard to say no to. Avoid them.”

I don't know if that was the real intent of this code, considering all the weird nuance around NaN in Javascript - however I agree with the point the author makes, and will take it one step further: We should be building these semantic

Not 100% sure why this is here, considering its age, but it always struck me as strange that they never did anything with Dates. The stdlib offering for Dates in Java/JVM environments is atrocious.

I read the entire README and have absolutely zero idea what Hypen does (and I am a relatively experienced javascript/react programmer). Perhaps a 1-2 sentence explanation, plus some code examples, would help.

What on earth would VSCode need to add to be classified as an IDE? It does so much more than Sublime/Notepad++/eMacs out of the box. It’s not even close.

Isn’t that what local machines are for? If you’re in territory where running locally isn’t feasible you’ve either done something horribly wrong or have scaled way past the point where either a single lambda or single ec2 instance is suffici

I worked on a small SaaS that deployed in this way. The AWS bill was about 10x what it would have been if they had just deployed nodejs on an EC2 instance.

Right I am not trying to say that fiat doesn't have problems. I am trying to say that in the real world, crypto has solved none of those problems.

Yea same. Really still unclear what utility it provides that fiat currencies do not. Not theoretical utility, like real world utility. I think crypto will go down in history as an amazing example of the importance of institutional knowledge
