$99 KS is a great deal. Device ownership costs more upfront, but cheaper long term. There's really three options for you: 1. $99 + $120/year (not $149). First year is free. 2. $99 + $79 (upgrade) + $49/year. First year

I think it's interesting you mentioned a "Star Trek" society. I think that's what everyone one of us engineers who have any kind of altruism in them wants. If not, we're just automating jobs away, which is basically automating peoples liv

It's 100% an availability problem, and integrity of the network is important. Desktops/laptops would give ~20% availability, a dedicated device will give ~80%. Think of how much the common user leaves a computer on vs a router or NAS.

I would be fine if I had an interview and was rejected -- that's just part of the game. But this guy calls and talks to me (not an interview, just the recruiter), says he will setup interviews, and now I get no response. Crazy. Don't feel

Your post reminds me of what xkcd says about it: http://xkcd.com/435/ There's a truth to it -- CS is just applied math, that doesn't mean you have to understand math to program, but it will be very beneficial.

This can't be the same person. The laptop was stolen from his house while he was away. This would mean it would be a burglary charge, not robbery.

I use the Dell 24" panel in portrait for coding. It's awesome -- top is browser or music listener, whichever is necessary, middle is IDE, and bottom is console. If you were to stretch all the code over the whole screen, I agree, it might
