https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vR99DO1AKJrh_GGg... I gave up on the story when it started to get romantic because I wasn't really in that kind of a mood at the time.

I plugged my company's "About Us" page text into a prompt for AI Dungeon's GPT-3-based engine, and it started off with my character using the site, then quickly changed into my character following an Arduino tutorial, an

You can interrupt my channels with a three paragraph problem description any time. I'll gladly take that over "the thing doesn't work."

Blackberry was initially B2B. You could technically get your own personal Blackberry device, but you pretty much needed needed a business server to get the full experience. They were starting to lean more towards consumer features in 2006 (

The first release of Android was only a couple months before the release of the Blackberry Storm. That obviously wasn't an option.

You know about it, so it's definitely not "one of the most closed projects in existence." It is perhaps one of the more exclusive and overly-hyped projects.

I was going to mention Python 3.8's audit hooks[1] as a possible way to catch some of these issues, (like web requests, for example) but when I went to Google to find the link, it also came up with an article explaining how to bypass t

Support for this kind of thing is entirely voluntary. You can short the mic pin to ground (or connect an external mic), and it will disable the onboard mic by default because that's what is expected, but there's nothing physically

You could perhaps do something with the dot language and gvpr[1]. It's not super easy to use though, but I've used it to generate a Javascript representation of a graph before. [1] https://manpages.debian.org/testi

I inherited a stereo amp from the 70s, and I'm pretty sure one of the capacitors has gone bad. I've managed to find a schematic and PCB layout for it (remember when service manuals were a thing?) but I've been too worried abo

If you use the Emacs server/client, then it is very fast to open a file from the command line. But I prefer to just open files from within Emacs. With ido-find-file, I get fuzzy path matching, which makes it fast to find whatever. Rath

I thought that "Out of the Tar Pit" (Moseley & Marks, 2006) classified complexity excellently: > Essential Complexity is inherent in, and the essence of, the problem (as seen by the users). > Accidental Complexity is all

That's called sidetone. You really don't want your computer's sound system to generate that for you because the latency is even more distracting than not having it. It's much better to have it done in hardware, either by

JSON doesn't use floating point numbers, it uses signed decimal numbers. It's perfectly valid to store a number in JSON that isn't representable in a n-bit IEEE 754 floating point number.
