Dogs are banned in most or all national parks where large wildlife is present. In Glacier National Park, for example, they’re banned because they can easily turn a grizzly sighting into a grizzly attack.

It does. The more anti-fingerprinting measures you enact, the harder it is to pass to the point that it becomes nearly impossible to do.

Having an RV set up for remote work where we can leave home for days, weeks, or months has actually prepared me for outages better than most. The entirety of the RV can run on propane and battery, and I have both solar and generators to rec

Legally, the lower receiver of a firearm is the piece that’s subject to background checks and other firearm-related laws. Presumably that’s all that would be technically needed.

Canon's professional line has been lacking for years in the high ISO sensor performance. Their saving grace has been their lenses, which are still magnitudes better than the competition. That said, third party lensmakers like Sigma and

I think this is absolutely correct. The cheesesteak I had at one of the allegedly original places was the worst I’ve ever had anywhere. A fast food cheesesteak is better. Similarly, Seaside is a major beach/ocean tourist destination in

I feel their Apple TV app is the worst it's ever been. I hate the autoplay trailers, and the use and feel of the app is incredibly sluggish.

All flash media cards should be treated as unreliable (source: 10 years photographing professionally). An errant static discharge, a damaged pin, or a cracked piece of thin plastic are all that stand between an easy offload of photos and po

Depends on the temperature differential between the outside air and the climate controlled environment. Here, in eastern Washington, winter costs me a lot more. Using the shoulder season as a baseline, summer adds x and winter adds 3x.

In our experience, country of origin is a better heuristic for possible abuse than an individual ISP is. Most malicious traffic comes from a fairly small number of countries, many of which are the obvious culprits. That kind of data is neve

I'm torn on this. reCAPTCHA v2 (mostly useless[0]) and v3 function largely on browser fingerprinting plus a few other heuristics (e.g., whether or not you have a Google cookie). Any meaningful privacy measures to resist fingerprinting
