Do you have a testing environment or multiple testing environments? Does it/Do they need to run all the time? If not, you save there. Do you like being able to spin up an entire duplicate of your environment to do environmental tests? You c

Perhaps you don't understand. This is EC2 we're talking about, not prgmr. People run massive production websites on EC2 because it is reliable, predictable, and secure. It provides features that allow you to recover from outages and failure

How is it hard to believe? They are essentially doing what Akamai did and locating server farms very "close" to end users on the network. I have a 20ms ping from the closest Akamai CDN server.

Most supercars are basically hand-made and built to order anyways, so a custom version isn't quite as financially burdensome as it would be for a mass-produced vehicle.

All of the "heavy" agiles like Scrum have confused me: isn't agile about fundamentally less process and more flexibility? One can't serve two masters. Teams have to pick a point along the completely structured - completely flexible line. As

It's an awfully steep price to pay for it though. It's convenient, but is it really worth 6x the price of an Apple TV or 5x the price of a WDTV Live?

The Apple TV is so close for me now. If it had a more wide range of supported formats I would be all over it, but I'm relegated to the world of WD TV Live Plus right now. People say that this is a techie-only feature, but I highly disagree.

Does this actually cause a disruption of service though? It seems like it would be trivial to just keep the configuration in place for 72 hours even after changing the DNS entry.

Mac is a more commercial software friendly platform. While Apple isn't quite as friendly as Microsoft, they're going to do a lot more to keep things stable and friendly for developers than the wild wild west that is graphics and/or GUI-inte

This used to be a deal breaker for many folks. Combine this with the root object support and you can really host entire production static sites on CloudFront now.

IE6 yes. I use VS because IE Developer Tools doesn't offer sophisticated enough JavaScript debugging. I work with large JS-heavy projects, like entire clients built in JS that talk JSON/REST to a backend server.

Ah, the psychology of price points. Let us all take note of this when we decide how to price our products and/or services. People are now perceiving that the value that this device delivers is significantly higher than it's price.
