Keep in mind that the quarterly earnings report was 9.32 billion USD. That is approximately 100 million a day. I'd say downtime at that scale is important. Also: People tend to call the police: http://time.com/3071049&

I moved from Stuttgart to the US 5 years ago. I am always delighted to come back and see that I need less and less cash. It blew my mind when even Aldi and Lidl jumped on the credit card train. Looking forward to the day when I can visit Ge

Having done interviews at a few of time, I'd say that's mostly false, at least for the last 2-3 years. As far as I can tell, there's always a pre-defined pool of questions. Some of them are pretty 'open ended', but

It should probably have been titled "The Utter Uslessness of Unstructured Job Interviews", because that's the kind of interview the author criticizes. In my personal experience, structured interviews can be very helpful in de

Since the post mentions performance as one of the main problems, it seems kinda strange to defend the Mac Pro. The trashcan Mac Pro has very outdated Xeon E5620 CPUs and it doesn't seem like there's a lot of upgrades in the pipeli

They had macular degeneration which usually can be slowed down or stopped while there's a bit of vision left. Now they're at "no light perception". Considerably worse.

That is usually how all companies at that scale release code (at least the ones that I know of). Only that it's not 365 groups, because at the size of FB that would be several million people.
