Having worked at a German company (in Germany) that creates tooling for that kind of software development. They had a huge smalltalk program that created embedded C code (AUTOSAR/MISRA if I remember correctly). Tests only ran manually

The title makes it sound like this is a Germany wide thing. It's 'only' the state of Hesse which is around 6 million people. The responsibility for the education system in Germany lies primarily with the states.

That's not how the regressive tax system works. Your effeective tax rate is around 38% A nice 2 bed 2 bath is 4k, not 6k I don't even know how you would spend 3k a month in living expenses. All of those numbers are seem pretty off

In production tests I've seen the synthetic "wear out level" go down to 1% and the machine still writing Petabytes of data without any issues. That being said, I would only do that on machines that are mostly disposable :)

It’s barely workable once you hit a few thousand machines. That being said, most people don’t end up in that situation. Any large company doing IOS CI with 100+ developers however will encounter issues with the demise of network booting
