Have you found a place for good Hainanese Chicken Rice in the US? Or good Taiwanese?

Despite? Because! The US has a different flavor culture than SE Asia (though Huy Fong did get its start selling to SE Asian immigrants in the US). I've tried more "authentic" Srirachas and don't like them at all (taste l

I've tried three or four competing Sriracha sauces from Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, etc, and to my taste all are much less enjoyable than Huy Fong. It remains a differentiated product based on its core feature, taste.

Would use of an Android phone have any cause for frustration with an Apple TV? I'd assume not but I've never used one.

Right - they're saying that if the work of a point is worth $769 to a company, then that's the amount they should get paid as a developer. Even if Amazon took a $269 cut from each point, I'd expect to get paid $50k for doing

Yep, agreed. I ended up switching to Firefox as a result of things like this, which was good in many ways but took a lot more configuration.

The scenario you described doesn't sound absurd to me at all. Even at high-functioning companies, people don't report or fix glaring problems in documentation and training material. There are quite a lot of not-so-high-functioning

Funny, I've never played a game of Risk where a player got wiped out well before the end of the game – probably because I usually played with only 3~4 players. I could imagine with 4+ this would be a more useful strategy.

That's a good point; I've always assumed this isn't common with Hasura but I honestly have no idea. $99/mo just seems like a great deal if your bandwidth usage fits within the included 20GB/mo.

Agreed. Cost was a concern for me so I spent weeks refreshing Craigslist every few hours. Snagged an Aeron in good shape for closer to $400. I have a hard time working without it; I've tried many office chairs. For anyone earning a hig

Eh, I don't think that's necessarily the truly hard bit, at least for common cases with a library design that works. With something like `useStyles()` from material-ui, you get a fairly unique className, and coupled with a build t

My mistake! Replacing RLS with Rust-Analyzer, it now takes 20-30s to incrementally check a trivial change to some core model code (compared to ~90s with RLS), though now rust-analyzer gives me an unrelated error which I assume may be the re
