Does this get us closer? Pretty uninformed but seems that better functional predictions make it easier to pick out which variants actually matter versus the ones just along for the ride. Step 2 probably is integrating this with proper stati

Does it work? Sure. You have to ask more questions. How much does it cost to keep it working? How much would it cost to upgrade? If we do nothing, along what sort of timeline can we expect it to stop working, or become cost prohibitive to m

Low quality clickbait article. “I like my editor because I’m used to it” ok man, do you want an award? The claims about the limitations of vscode and cursor’s code navigation abilities aren’t even accurate. The author just doesn’t know how

This all seems like obvious byproducts of an ephemeral photo based platform. Beyond these, there's also the shitty "explore" feature that pushes sexually explicit content that can't be disabled. Surprised that's not

Surely behavior of children on a busses plays _some_ role in this decision. Not sure how they would even gather stats on this but busses in my youth were total zoos. Further, schools near me won't allow many children to walk home even

The multiple daily submissions about DOGE are getting a bit tiresome and are offtopic for HackerNews IMO. Unless they're doing something technically interesting I'm not sure why it has to be posted here. Judging by the fact that t

This is hilarious. The US and Trump can continue down this path and force the EU to the table, and there’s precisely 0 anything anyone can do about it. No need to bother with any international bodies.

Yeah kinda. The article is right, core issue is no ability to reclaim production-side VAT costs like EU competitors can because of how taxes work in the US. My position is the EU should bend a little and help the US out here by either lower

When EU manufacturers sell products to other EU countries, they get their domestic VAT rebated, pay no tariffs, and then charge the destination country's VAT. When US manufacturers sell to EU countries, we have no VAT to get rebated, m

No evidence provided that this is amazonbot or AI related. Someone is just upset that their website is getting traffic, which seems asinine.

I have heated portions of my home with S9s for a while. I know a guy who heats his pool with ASIC miners. It's not hard, but it is more expensive than conventional methods (additional cost not totally offset by proceeds). You should do

Apple only has dominant marketshare in the US. Everywhere else in the world people use Whatsapp. Why didn't they all hop on the RCS train? Because it sucks to implement and is a black box to use. Google was stuck with SMS because of th
